We're seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent with a minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial construction, a passion for precision, and a commitment to excellence. What You'll Do

Lead with Vision:

Command a dynamic on-site environment, ensuring all work reflects the high standards Reed Construction is known for. Your leadership will foster positive morale and robust teamwork among project staff and subcontractors. Master of Details:

Keep a vigilant eye on project specifications, actively managing site drawings, addenda, and compliance to maintain our track record of excellence. You will be the go-to for raising any issues directly to project management swiftly and effectively. Central Point of Contact:

Be at the heart of the action, coordinating with project managers, architects, and stakeholders, making sure all voices are heard and integrated into our project strategy. Organize and Oversee:

Take charge of subcontractor activities, ensuring seamless operations and impeccable workmanship. Your ability to source new partners and maintain strong relationships will be key to our continued success. Safety Champion : Guarantee the safety and security of each job site. Lead OSHA inspections, coordinate safety seminars, and uphold our rigorous standards to keep our team and the public safe. Tech-Savvy Communicator : Utilize the latest in project management software to keep everyone informed and make data-driven decisions. Your proficiency will guide real-time adjustments and ensure project milestones are met with precision. Ambassador of Reed:

Maintain exemplary professional relationships with all project participants and the community, ensuring every interaction is handled with courtesy and professionalism. Travel:

Travel is required for this position. Must be able to travel 100% outside of the Chicagoland area and or out-of-state to execute on-site position responsibilities. Who You Are

Experienced Leader:

With at least 8 years in a superintendent role and a history of managing large-scale projects, your expertise sets the standard for our team. Quality-Focused:

You strive for perfection on every project, aiming for a “zero punch list” and consistently delivering quality that impresses and inspires. Decisive and Driven:

You’re known for your ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate challenges, and pivot quickly to address changes without missing a beat. Communicative and Collaborative:

Excellent verbal and written skills complement your ability to document thoroughly and keep all team members aligned. Tech-Proficient : Your skills with Microsoft Office are sharp, and experience with project management tools like Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, and PM Web Solutions is a plus. Travel Ready:
