UCCE is the research and outreach arm of the University of California. The Department Analyst will serve as the department\'s Human Resources Liaison (HRL), coordinating all aspects of human resources including payroll activities, hiring processes, onboarding/offboarding, and ensuring staff compliance with county policies. The position will oversee fiscal monitoring, reporting, and analysis for County and UC ANR funding sources, and will manage department budget development and oversight. Additional responsibilities include: Supervising one direct report (Senior Office Assistant) and serving as the primary contact for office and facilities operations Acting as liaison with County agencies and service providers Developing and managing contracts, grants, and board items Managing department office spaces and coordinating workspace and technology access with internal HR and county partners Leading the implementation of UC ANR procedures Ideal candidates will assess situations with empathy, be solution-oriented and customer-focused, and collaborate across all levels of an organization while maintaining positive relationships with a diverse client base. The following qualifications are sought: Working knowledge of business administration, data collection and analysis, and County government operations Experience with multiple financial systems across two institutions or agencies Knowledge of supervisory principles and HR practices, office methods, and procedures Experience creating, managing, and analyzing budgets Outstanding written and oral communication skills Strong attention to detail with ability to research, organize, and conduct analyses Office management experience including onboarding/turnover, procurement, facilities, and IT needs Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to multiple tasks Highly organized and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment UCCE is currently recruiting to fill a Department Analyst position. Typically one year of full-time professional experience in general administration, accounting, budget analysis, or HR work including research, analysis, and reporting. Education:

Any combination of coursework that provides knowledge of public administration, business administration, management, accounting, political science, economics, statistics, English, or related fields. License:

Valid driver\'s license as required by assignment. The position requires possession of a valid California driver’s license. Working knowledge

of business and public administration, budgeting and HR practices; project management; research methodology; statistics; and use of electronic information systems relevant to the department. Ability

to plan, organize, conduct research and analysis, prepare budgets and contracts, communicate effectively, and maintain working relationships with stakeholders; supervise staff as needed. How to Apply
