About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Associate Vice President for our Financial Crimes Compliance team, specifically focusing on the Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) function. In this pivotal role, you will enhance our second line of defense, providing vital support to our regional compliance framework and safeguarding the business against financial crime risks. You will act as a trusted AFC advisor, concentrating on AML, sanctions, and embargoes, while leading the implementation and ongoing maintenance of AML policies.
Key Responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and expert guidance on AML frameworks.
Coordinating audits and maintaining AML service-level agreements.
Contributing to firmwide initiatives with AFC and compliance implications.
Engaging with stakeholders to foster compliance culture across the organization.
We are looking for candidates with 2-5 years of experience in anti-financial crime or compliance roles, preferably within the asset management field. Familiarity with investment products is essential, alongside a strong understanding of AML frameworks. Previous experience with sanctions is a distinct advantage. Professional certifications such as ACAMS will be highly regarded.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational and analytical skills, thriving in a dynamic environment and expertly managing multiple workstreams.
This is a hybrid opportunity, requiring you to be onsite 3 days a week at our Manhattan, New York office.
