This position is being filled through OU's PEAK Temporary Staffing Service.
Picks up and delivers United States Postal Service (USPS) and interdepartmental mail.
Picks up USPS mail by utilizing a state owned motor vehicle.
Delivers mail to various destinations.
May make special mail runs as directed by the supervisor. Assists in preparation of special mailings. Sorts and meters incoming and outgoing mail by route and location. Separates outgoing mail by account number for postage. Maintains state owned motor vehicle, to include but not limited to inspecting the vehicle for engine oil, and
brake pressure.
Informs central mail supervisor of any deficiencies. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position. Physical Working Conditions: Ability to engage in repetitive motions.
Loading and unloading heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.).
Stooping, bending, standing, and climbing often and for prolonged periods.
Performing physically demanding labor. Environmental Working Conditions: Working in potentially hazardous conditions. Exposure to extreme temperatures and outdoor work in all seasons.
