About the Role
The organization is looking for a dynamic Vice President of Development and Communications to drive and inspire our communication and development teams. In this pivotal role, you will guide the strategic planning, implementation, and assessment of impactful fundraising and marketing initiatives. Your expertise will set the course in alignment with our mission, while overseeing the execution of strategies designed to garner public support.
This position calls for an accomplished leader who can adeptly manage diverse, cross-functional projects. You will foster an inclusive environment and collaborate effectively to achieve exceptional results for our organization. The VP of Development and Communications will serve as the primary liaison for major gifts, planned giving, grants, and corporate partnerships, ensuring our organization is represented with utmost professionalism in all interactions.
Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree (strongly preferred) and bring a wealth of at least 10 years of experience in the non-profit sector, specifically demonstrating a successful track record in development and communications. A minimum of 7 years of leadership experience is also strongly preferred. Candidates with a CFRE and/or CAWA certification will be highly regarded. Your ability to manage conflict, influence diverse stakeholders, and engage a wide range of donors is vital. Proficiency in relevant computer applications is essential, with experience in Raiser's Edge development software and Adobe Creative Suite being a strong advantage.
