About the Role
Join us as the Chief Development Officer and President of the Foundation, where you will lead an innovative fundraising strategy at a reputable broadcasting organization. Your mission will be to expand our donor base and maximize philanthropic revenue through creativity and best practices.
You will manage a dedicated team and oversee a wider development staff engaged in various fundraising initiatives. As a vital member of our executive management team, you will collaborate with the President and CEO, Board of Trustees, and Board of Directors to cultivate a strong philanthropic culture and foster relationships that further our community-focused mission.
The ideal candidate will exemplify professionalism in fundraising, acting as a mentor to the development team and as an ambassador for our organization. You must be skilled in engaging high-level partners and donors and committed to establishing mutually beneficial fundraising strategies. A compelling case for support, driven by our commitment to journalistic excellence and the safeguarding of independent journalism, will be central to your outreach.
Experience in frontline fundraising and a comprehensive understanding of the philanthropic landscape are essential. You will collaborate with our Member Stations to achieve both national and local fundraising objectives, contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality, independent content that is significant to the lives of the American public and beyond.
