As an Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED) intern, you will work alongside engineers and scientists on hardware development, payload integration & operations, laboratory & test operations, modeling & simulation, space environments, scientific research and propulsion systems for programs like Human Landing Systems, Space Launch Systems and the International Space Station! Responsibilities: The Test Engineer Intern will: Support senior Test Engineers (coordination of test plan implementation and follow ET30 procedures) for Structural Strength Testing.

Scope of work will include test planning, scheduling, procurement, procedural preparations, test conduct, and fixture fabrication.

Interact with drawings of facilities, test hardware, customer hardware, and instrumentation requirements.

Write instructions for technician operations, including application of safety procedures.

Job Duties will include: Coordination with NASA project level customers across organizations to ensure mission success.

Work with a diverse team of civil servants and contractors to design, develop, setup, and perform structural testing on space flight qualification hardware, and other mission critical hardware.

Participate in a Beyond Zero Safety Culture, attend safety meetings, task meetings, design reviews, and test readiness reviews as requested to support ESSCA and customer requirements.

Develop and deliver reports and presentations as requested to support ESSCA and customer requirements via Power Point and other various software packages.

Perform safety and certification training to support ESSCA and customer requirements.

Familiarity with OSHA standards.
