MV Transportation is seeking a talented
Dispatcher
to oversee daily route operations and report to the Operations Supervisor/Manager. In this crucial role, you will communicate effectively with drivers and clients, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and timely service delivery. Key Responsibilities: Answer client calls and address any issues with drivers and Dispatch Supervisors/Managers. Monitor radio, telephones, and road services to maintain quality. Foster a positive work environment and enhance customer service quality. Track and verify driver sign-in and sign-out activities daily. Assign trips to drivers, ensuring balanced distribution across all routes. Evaluate daily system performance and participate in operational reviews. Document and report any route delays or issues to Dispatch Supervisors/Managers. Observe and ensure that drivers are fit for duty and follow up with supervisors as needed. Ensure that all operators are in appropriate uniform attire upon reporting for duty. Oversee the collection and proper tagging of lost and found items. Perform any other assigned duties as required. Qualifications: Preferred: 1 year of Dispatcher experience. Preferred: 2 years of Customer Service experience. High School diploma or equivalent required. Familiarity with dispatch software such as Trapeze or Via Ride is an advantage. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Strong commitment to customer service. Knowledge of the service area is a plus. Strategic thinking skills are essential. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail. Professional communication skills, both orally and in writing. Proficiency in using Windows-based computer systems. Bilingual ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish is preferred.
