Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled
CNC Aerospace Programmer
to join our precision aerospace manufacturing team. This role is responsible for developing, verifying, and optimizing CNC programs to machine high-tolerance aerospace components on multi-axis milling centers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software, a deep understanding of aerospace machining processes, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and optimize CNC programs for complex aerospace parts using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, CATIA, or similar)
Select appropriate tooling, cutting strategies, and fixtures for aluminum, titanium, and stainless-steel components
Interpret aerospace engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D models
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and shop floor teams to ensure successful first-article production
Troubleshoot machining issues and provide real-time support to machine operators
Drive process improvements to reduce cycle time, improve tool life, and increase first-pass yield
Maintain program documentation and revision control per AS9100 standards
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience programming CNC machines in an aerospace environment
Proficiency with CAM software (Mastercam, NX, CATIA, or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and machining best practices
Experience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills
Familiarity with HAAS, Makino, Doosan, and other aerospace-grade CNC equipment is a plus
Working knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
