Our client in Fort Worth, TX is looking for a Wave Planner. This is a Temporary to Permanent position looking to start ASAP! Responsibilities:
Prepare, process, and move merchandise productively, safely, accurately, and per established production rates, as well as established standards and guidelines Plan, create, and release waves of orders for picking, ensuring alignment with shipping schedules and customer priorities. Monitor warehouse workload and adjust wave planning based on order volume, labor availability, equipment constraints, and operational capacity. Analyze order profiles and product slotting to maximize picking efficiency. Coordinate with Inventory Control to ensure product availability and accurate inventory levels before releasing waves. Communicate with Operations Supervisors and Leads to align on daily workload expectations and resource needs. Track and report on wave progress, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or delays. Maintain and update wave planning parameters in the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Collaborate with Transportation and Customer Service teams to prioritize urgent orders and special shipments. Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing data and recommending process improvements to optimize wave planning and order flow. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures. Qualifications:
One to two years related experience and/or training in warehousing or distribution operations preferred High school diploma or equivalent Basic computer skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to stand, bend and lift for extended periods of time Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds to aid operations. Must have good vision and hearing for verbal communication and forklift safety
