American Medical Response is seeking dynamic individuals to fill the role of Emergency Medical Dispatcher. This full-time position is located in St. Louis, MO, at our AMR St. Louis Emergency Communications Center, one of the largest private EMD Communications Centers in the nation.

Your Role as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher:
As an Emergency Medical Dispatcher, you will be the first point of contact for individuals requiring ambulance services. You will be responsible for:
Receiving, recording, and managing requests for ambulance assistance.
Processing transport requests for medically ill and injured patients.
Collecting essential information quickly and accurately to deploy the appropriate emergency resources.
Training and Development:
We provide comprehensive training for all incoming dispatchers, including:
Internationally recognized Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) training and certification.
CPR certification and necessary non-emergency intake skills.
Scenario-based skills development to prepare you for real-world situations in the Communications Center.
Essential Duties:
Implementing EMD principles and allocating EMS resources effectively.
Maintaining expertise in our computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system.
Collecting accurate data for all service requests.
Functioning effectively in potentially stressful environments while providing excellent customer service.
Utilizing maps for location identification related to transport requests.

Qualifications:
Minimum age of 18 years.
Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Successful completion of a computer-aided pre-interview test.
