Roofing Estimator – Commercial Projects Location: San Antonio, TX Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 per year with profit sharing Relocation Assistance provided

Position Description:
The Senior Estimator will be the primary contact throughout the estimating process, responsible for working with management on the content and scope of each estimate. You will also aid PE-I staff and provide guidance across the estimating workflow. This role includes client interaction, change order management, proposal writing, and involvement with industry associations.
You will lead field inspections, determine project needs, and verify contract scope. As a PE-II, you will also run handoff meetings with the operations team, lead client meetings, and help educate clients throughout the project. An understanding of both new construction and remedial roofing systems, including codes, wind uplift pressures, thermal/moisture considerations, and materials/methods, is essential.Key Responsibilities
Lead the estimating process from start to finish
Support and mentor PE-I staff during estimates
Independently conduct field inspections and develop scopes of work
Prepare accurate estimates using on-screen takeoffs and proposal writing
Participate in handoff meetings with operations teams
Engage in client meetings and provide project education
Contribute to industry associations through committee involvement
Manage 3 to 5 estimates per week across various project types
Position Requirements
Four-year college degree OR 5+ years in construction with at least 2 years of estimating experience
Experience in commercial roofing estimating strongly
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Fluency in English required; bilingual
Ability to interpret and understand construction documents
General knowledge of construction processes, materials, and codes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem-solving and negotiation abilities
Ambition to grow professionally within the company
Valid driver's license
Authorized to work in the United States
Ability to climb scaffolding, stairs, ladders; physical fitness for jobsite inspections
