Healthcare Patient Coordinator
to play a pivotal role in our Optum Pediatrics team. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring streamlined patient care and delivering exceptional customer service through various key responsibilities. Working Hours:
A 40-hour work week: Monday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Wednesday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, Thursday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, and Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Saturdays from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Your schedule will be finalized by your supervisor upon hiring. Location:
831 Tennent Road, Suite 1 A Manalapan, NJ 07726 Key Responsibilities: Collect and maintain accurate and updated patient information. Verify insurance on the date of service. Ensure patient signatures for required documents. Upload valid government-issued state IDs and insurance cards. Process occupational medicine registrations effectively. Maintain orderly and complete medical records. Correct registration errors to ensure smooth workflows. Confirm and schedule appointments for patients. Answer phone calls professionally and promptly. Handle referral documentation efficiently. Support claims processing by addressing issues in work queues. Facilitate follow-up services, such as scheduling appointments and obtaining lab results. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and OSHA regulations. Collaborate with team members to meet collective goals. Ensure clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Notify clinical staff of any schedule changes. Meet administrative policy standards to guarantee quality care. Efficiently manage document scanning and organization tasks. Assist in orienting new employees as needed. Remain knowledgeable about current medical requirements relevant to the position. Able to travel between offices as needed. Available for a flexible 40-hour work schedule. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of customer service experience. Familiarity with Epic EMR software. Essential Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Able to multitask and prioritize effectively.
