Work Location:  647 Castle Island Road., Mt. Vernon, ME. 04352
Regular part-time 24-34 hours per week position - $20.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience


Position Summary: 

The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the Foundation’s Human Resource department. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. 
  • • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. 
  • • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately. 
  • • Provides clerical support to the HR department. 
  • • Prepares payroll for Human Resource Manager approval. 
  • • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation. 
  • • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, employee training, performance appraisal process, etc. 
  • • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): 

  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. 
  • • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • • Experience with Google Drive. 
  • • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn Paycor, the payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS). 

Education and Experience: 

  • • Associate’s degree in human resources, business administration, or management preferred. 
  • • Previous experience in a human resources or administrative support role. 
  • • Familiarity with HR-related processes and procedures.
