Travis Mills Foundation is hiring: Human Resources Assistant in Mount Vernon

Work Location: 647 Castle Island Road., Mt. Vernon, ME. 04352

Regular part-time 24-34 hours per week position - $20.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience

Position Summary

The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the Foundation’s Human Resource department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
• Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
• Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
• Provides clerical support to the HR department.
• Prepares payroll for Human Resource Manager approval.
• Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
• Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, employee training, performance appraisal process, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Google Drive.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn Paycor, the payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS).

Education and Experience

• Associate’s degree in human resources, business administration, or management preferred.
• Previous experience in a human resources or administrative support role.
• Familiarity with HR-related processes and procedures.
