About the Role
Join our dynamic team as the Vice President of Development and Alumni Affairs (VPDA) at our esteemed institution. This leadership position offers you the opportunity to spearhead a comprehensive fundraising initiative focused on major and principal gifts, crucial to advancing our mission. You will develop and implement innovative strategies to attract funding, while also guiding a talented team through various aspects of advancement, including development and alumni relations.
The VPDA will cultivate a culture of philanthropy and align departmental efforts with educational and research goals across the institution to ensure maximum impact. Our ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a robust 15+ years of experience in fundraising and alumni relations, with a strong track record in major gift solicitation.
You should demonstrate exceptional knowledge in donor research, cultivation, and stewardship, coupled with experience managing diverse teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as you will be engaging with key stakeholders regularly. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising software is essential.
