Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (Nights)
Location:

Status of Hire:
full-time, direct hire
Pay:
$40-48/hr (hourly, non-exempt)
Shift:
nights 6p-6a on a 4on, 4off schedule

Responsibilities:
·
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and machinery
·
Troubleshoot and repair plant systems including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation
·
Repair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, material handling, overhead and gantry crane, crushing, grinding, furnace, vacuum, pump, bag-house, silo, and casting operations as well as auxiliary equipment
·
Install, maintain, and repair control systems, including but not limited to PLCs (Siemens), SCADA systems, DCS. HMIs and other automation equipment
·
Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on general plant electrical equipment such as starters, PLCs (Siemens), start/stop stations, motors (up to 480V)
·
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on control systems to ensure optimal performance reliability
·
Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators
·
Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, bearings, belts, valves, or gears, to restore functionality
·
Lubricate and clean mechanical parts to ensure proper functioning and prevent premature wear
·
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including maintenance logs, repair records, and parts inventory
·
Understanding of measurement and testing devices and mechanical systems
·
Demonstrate good working knowledge of electrical diagrams and/or circuits and utilize during troubleshooting
·
Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations
Requirements:
·
6+ years’ electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in a complex processing industrial manufacturing environment
·
2 Year Technical Degree in Industrial Technology, Maintenance, Mechatronics, Engineering, or related (but not required)
·
Intermediate understanding of PLCs, ability to access program for troubleshooting purposes (light programming and edits a plus, would not be expected to fully program PLCs)
·
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery, including principles of operation and maintenance requirements
·
Proficiency in using hand and power tools to perform mechanical repairs and adjustments
·
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and instruments for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
·
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, electric schematics, and engineering drawings
·
Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts (likely 6p-6a) on a 4on, 4off rotation which may include nights and weekends
