We are currently seeking a Weigh-Up Operator for our Arizona location, conveniently situated approximately 10 minutes from Glendale, AZ.
Scope of Position:
The Weigh-Up Operator is responsible for accurately measuring and preparing raw materials used in the production of nutraceutical products, such as dietary supplements, vitamins, and powders. This role ensures all ingredients meet quality and safety standards while following company procedures and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.
Principal Responsibilities:
Accurately weigh and stage raw materials according to batch records and production schedules.
Follow strict guidelines for weighing, measuring, and documenting materials to ensure product consistency and quality.
Operate and maintain weighing equipment, scales, and tools in accordance with safety and sanitation protocols.
Ensure raw materials are properly labeled, stored, and handled to prevent cross-contamination.
Perform quality checks to verify the accuracy of weighed ingredients before they are transferred to production.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with GMP, FDA, and company safety standards.
Assist in inventory management by tracking raw material usage and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
Work collaboratively with production team members, quality control personnel, and supervisors to meet production goals.
Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or deviations from standard procedures.
Complete all required documentation and logs with accuracy and attention to detail.
Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
Basic math skills and ability to use weighing scales accurately.
Knowledge of GMP, FDA, and safety regulations is a plus.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Supervisory Responsibility:
There are no supervisory responsibilities within this position.
Work Environment:
This position takes place 100% of the time within a production facility. Regularly exposed to noise from machinery and to different nutraceutical powders and ingredients.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Some overtime required as business needs dictate.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food production environment preferred.
