Position Responsibilities
Business / Transactional work, including advising ownership ad management of privately-held companies at the startup through exit stages of growth. Counsel clients and run key areas of transactional / business matters, from due diligence to closing, such as forming, structuring and selling businesses, mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, compliance matters, etc. Negotiate commercial contracts. Write / create operating / shareholder / employment agreements. If qualified, handle client negotiations through closings related to commercial real estate acquisitions, sales, leasing, and financing activities. Job Requirements:
Qualifications
4+ years of corporate, business, or transactional experience. Licensed to practice law in NY J.D. Relevant work experience related to commercial real estate is a plus but not required. Analytical skills with exceptional business acumen and the ability to speak with and counsel clients regarding various business matters. Must be a self-starter who is accountable, has a high EQ, motivated to continue learning and taking on additional responsibilities, and able to own and operate client relationships and cases beginning to end. Strong skills re writing, negotiating, multi-tasking and project managing.
