Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Wood-Fired Pizza Cook to join our innovative culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional pizzas in our traditional wood-fired oven, adhering to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation. You will be a key player in the creation of our signature pizzas, ensuring both efficiency and creativity in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Oven Operation: Manage and maintain the wood-fired oven, including proper temperature control and fire management to ensure optimal cooking conditions.

Pizza Preparation: Stretch dough, apply sauces and toppings, and cook pizzas to perfection, ensuring even cooking and proper charring.

Menu Development: Contribute to the creation of new recipes and the ongoing improvement of existing pizza offerings.

Ingredient Management: Ensure all ingredients are fresh, high-quality, and properly stored.

Station Maintenance: Keep the pizza station clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.

Food Safety & Sanitation: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a hygienic kitchen.

Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Skills & Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience in a busy kitchen, preferably with a wood-fired oven.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in hand-stretching pizza dough.

Expertise in operating and maintaining wood-fired ovens.

Knowledge of high-temperature cooking techniques.

Culinary Knowledge: Passion for quality ingredients and up-to-date on culinary trends.

Work Ethic: Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Soft Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit.
