Job Description
Job Description Key Responsibilities: Document Preparation & Management: Draft and format legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, contracts, and discovery materials. Proofread and edit documents for grammar, accuracy, and legal compliance. File legal documents with courts or relevant agencies (electronically or in person). Case Support: Organize and maintain case files, correspondence, and legal records. Manage calendars, schedule court dates, depositions, and meetings. Assist with case preparation by gathering evidence, conducting basic legal research, and organizing exhibits. Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to schedule appointments and provide updates. Prepare client intake forms and handle confidential information with discretion. Respond to routine client inquiries and forward complex issues to attorneys. Administrative Duties: Perform general office tasks including answering phones, taking messages, and managing mail. Maintain timekeeping and billing records. Coordinate travel and logistics for attorneys as needed.
Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or certificate in paralegal studies or legal administration is preferred. Experience: 13 years of experience in a legal or administrative role preferred. Familiarity with legal terminology, court procedures, and document formatting. Language Armenian (required) Spanish (preferred) Skills: Strong written and verbal communication. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal software (Filevine). Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
