Job Summary
The HR Information Systems Specialist (HRIS) will support the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including data integrity, updating system settings and configurations, running reports and analyzing data, and processing personnel changes. This role will also play a critical role being the in-house subject matter expert for benefits, leave of absences, and partner with accounting in processing payroll. You'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance our HRIS experience for employees at all levels. Candidates must bring direct configuration and support experience in the Paycom HRIS platform. Experience in modules such as benefits, payroll, timekeeping and scheduling, and learning management is highly valued. This position must be located in the Chicagoland market and will be predominately on-site at either our Chicago office or one of the various clinic locations.
Responsibilities
Configure, maintain, and optimize Paycom modules in alignment with business needs, HR best practices, and evolving organizational requirements. Partner with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into Paycom solutions, ensuring alignment with compliance and audit standards. Design, test, and implement new Paycom features and upgrades, with a focus on seamless integrations and user experience. Complete HRIS projects across multiple Paycom modules, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables. Serve as a primary point of contact for Paycom support, troubleshooting issues and coaching end-users to optimize functionality. Develop and maintain documentation and training materials related specifically to Paycom modules and updates. Build and deliver advanced reports and dashboards using Paycom reporting tools and Excel. Serve as the in-house subject matter expert on benefit plans and enrollment process. Work with benefit broker and benefit vendors to ensure optimized system configuration. Serve as in-house subject matter expert for leaves of absences, including intermittent and continuous FMLA leaves. Work with the leave third party administrator to ensure accurate file feeds and reporting is shared back with the business. Partner with Accounting team to process bi-weekly payrolls. Complete ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. 3+ years experience in a HRIS role (analyst or specialist), with at least 1+ year directly supporting Paycom and with a strong focus on hands-on configuration and support across modules. Direct experience with multiple Paycom modules such as Recruiting, Advanced Compensation, Cloud Connect for Payroll, Absence Management, Time Tracking, Help, and Studio. Proven track record of leading or supporting Paycom-specific projects, including requirements gathering, testing, and deployment. Experience managing Paycom system enhancements and third-party integrations, in collaboration with internal and external partners. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Paycom reporting Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support a fast moving HR function. This position has an expected salary of $70,000 - $85,000.
