About the Role
We are excited to invite applications for the position of Vice President of Workforce Education and Development. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic vision for our division, focusing on annual planning, operational goals, and impactful program development that addresses the workforce needs of our community.
In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including campus managers, division chairs, and community and business leaders, to effectively deliver workforce education and training programs. Key responsibilities include preparing grant proposals, managing budgets, and overseeing personnel to ensure excellence in program execution.
We are looking for individuals with a Master’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 5 years' experience in workforce program development and delivery, along with supervisory experience in higher education, manufacturing, or energy sectors, is required. Strong skills in grant writing, budget planning, and the ability to forge and maintain strategic partnerships are essential for success in this role.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication abilities, demonstrate strategic planning capabilities, and have a proven record in data analysis. Responsibilities also include representing the college on economic and workforce development boards and committees, as well as attending regional and state meetings.
