Die Estimator
Job Description: Analyze project specifications, CAD Data and GD&T Requirements to determine the cost and timing of required tooling. Gather information from vendors and suppliers as required. Prepare and submit detailed proposals and quotations to the Engineering Department. Work with engineering, production and sales teams to ensure die estimates are completed in a timely manner. Die Estimator Requirements: A deep understanding of tool and die design and build processes. Ability to make detailed strip layouts. Ability to interpret technical drawings, analyze project requirements and make informed cost estimations. Strong math skills for calculations related to cost estimations. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers, engineers and production teams. 5 years estimating experience. 5 years experience in die design and/or die making.
