FOOD: Mobile Breakfast Preparation

Your help is needed to help prepare wonderful tasting plant-based meals for mobile distribution to food insecure children and families in San Diego County. Volunteers work alongside Grandma Lulu's Table's Executive Chef to chop, cook, assemble, and package wonderful plant-based meals that will cultivate a change in eating with the food insecure. Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes Key Responsibilities: Chop, cook, assemble, and package meals Skills & Qualifications: Basic culinary skills Must have a valid food handler card for San Diego County Must be able to follow directions from the Executive Chef and work independently Training Provided: Volunteers will receive a brief kitchen orientation and safety overview before beginning their shift Attire: Closed-toe shoes; covered arms and hat. Hair nets will be provided. This project takes place in a commercial kitchen environment.
