We are searching for an organized, motivated, and diligent self-starter to fulfill the critical role of Donor Stewardship Coordinator. This is an exciting donor-facing opportunity to grow the reach and impact of the organization and deepen donors' connections to SOS's mission. Your primary functions will be donor outreach and management of the donor acknowledgment process. You will drive critical projects to timely completion to ensure execution of the team's strategy and priorities, and you'll help foster relationships to advance the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and execute the donor acknowledgment process, including thank you letters, hand-written notes and phone calls.

Serve as a critical point of contact for donors as you respond to inquiries and requests and conduct proactive outreach.

Coordinate with the Senior Manager of Sponsorship and Major Gift Officer to execute mailings.

Complete regular reports and screenings to inform upgrade and renewal strategies for all fundraising teams.

Maintain accurate and detailed records of all donors, partners, and stakeholders; stewardship activities; and donor communications; within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

Support the team in developing fundraising strategies and bespoke touchpoints incorporating feedback from donors.

Serve as donation and gift processing back-up.

Commit to SOS Children's Villages International's Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policy to maintain organizational wide values and prioritize the protection of children in all circumstances (Safeguarding children - SOS Children's Villages International (sos-childrensvillages.org)).

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

College degree preferred, but not required.

Strong computer skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in using data to measure outcomes, identify trends and inform decisions.

Experience in maintaining records and pulling reports in a database/CRM system.

Demonstrate a commitment to understanding and working collaboratively with people from different cultures, communities and countries.

Salary & Benefits

$45,000-55,000 annual salary depending on experience

Generous benefits package, including Flexible PTO, unpaid parental leave, and 12 paid holidays. Following the applicable waiting period, this position is also eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance (single and family), company paid Basic Life and Disability coverage (short- and long-term) as well as additional voluntary benefits and a 403(b) plan with match.

This position is based in Washington, DC and must report to the office a minimum of three (3) days per week with the option for telework the remainder of the time.
