Position Summary
The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a residential apartment community.This role focuses on rent collection, resident relations, leasing support, and administrative tasks. The Assistant Community Manager plays a key role in maintainingaccuraterecords, ensuring a high levelof customer service, and promoting the values of Decron Properties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assistwith daily operations, resident communications, and leasing activities Process rent payments, track delinquencies, and assistwith collections Assistin the coordination of resident move-ins,move-outs, and compliance documentation Support the community manager with budget monitoring and financial reporting Address resident inquiries and concerns in a timelyand professional manner Maintain accurateresident records, files, and documentation in accordance withcompany policies Post and process legal notices related to rent collection or lease compliance, support eviction procedures in accordance withlocal laws Support leasing effortswith tours, application processing, and lease signing as needed Contribute to resident retention efforts, community events, and marketing campaigns Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies/procedures Respond to resident inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly Non-Essential Duties
Assistwith vendor coordination and maintenance follow-up Support marketing and resident event efforts Provide coverage at other communities as needed Participate in team meetings, training, andcompanyevents Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required 1+ years of experience in property management, leasing, or administrative support Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage) Understanding of Fair Housing laws and rental regulations Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field Previousexperience in a support or assistant management role within property management
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position operateson-site at the apartment community.
Regularly usesstandard office equipment and mobile technology Frequently walks the property including stairs and outdoor areas Ability to lift upto 25 pounds Communicates with residents, vendors, and team members in person, by phone, and electronically May be exposed to varying outdoor weather conditions Company Values
