Evoqua, a Xylem brand is hiring -

Production Supervisor

to oversee daily operations in the production and processing of

ion exchange resins and specialty resins

. This role ensures smooth plant performance by supervising staff, maintaining safety and quality standards, troubleshooting equipment, and driving efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise production staff in day-to-day operations

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards

Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime

Optimize workflows for improved production efficiency

Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on process improvements

Team Supervision

Lead, train, and supervise resin processing operators.

Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and ensure labor coverage.

Monitor team performance and enforce safety and quality protocols.

Production Oversight

Ensure daily resin processing targets are met (e.g., regeneration, rinsing, drying, packaging).

Troubleshoot process deviations or equipment malfunctions.

Collaborate with maintenance and engineering for equipment upkeep.

Process Monitoring

Oversee pH, conductivity, and flow parameters during resin regeneration.

Maintain accurate production records, logs, and batch sheets.

Ensure resin is processed according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Safety and Compliance

Enforce plant safety procedures and use of PPE.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company environmental guidelines.

Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions.

Quality Control

Work with quality assurance to ensure product meets specifications.

Implement corrective actions for non-conforming batches.

Continuous Improvement

Suggest and implement improvements in processing, yield, and efficiency.

Support root cause analysis and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required;

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or related field preferred.

3+ years of experience in resin processing, chemical plant operations, or a manufacturing supervisory role.

Familiarity with ion exchange resin systems, acid/base handling, and process instrumentation.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office, production tracking systems).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs/ladders in a plant environment.

Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot or confined areas with appropriate PPE.

May require occasional off-shift or weekend support depending on production needs.

The estimated salary range for this position is $63,600.00 to $85,000.00. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
