Our client, one of the largest privately held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast, is seeking a
Project Manager
to lead municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects in their Charlotte, NC office. This role will serve as a project manager and/or technical lead, supporting a variety of public utility projects across the region. Responsibilities Manage water and wastewater projects from planning through construction, including scheduling, production oversight, client communication, and team coordination Provide technical design expertise for water/wastewater conveyance systems Support the design team in producing calculation reports, construction drawings, permitting packages, and project manuals Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews on all project documents to ensure accuracy and completeness; serve as Engineer of Record Utilize AutoCAD and GIS tools to support design and documentation Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and coordinate across disciplines
Project Types May Include
Water mains Booster pump stations Gravity sewer mains Force mains Water and wastewater treatment plants Hydraulic modeling Master planning
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering PE registration in North Carolina or South Carolina (required) Experience with municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects Strong technical proficiency in water and/or wastewater systems Familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS systems
