Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced
Senior Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Engineer
to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Columbia, SC area. This role requires extensive technical expertise in
municipal water and wastewater design , as well as proven leadership in managing public and private sector projects. The position will focus on working with local municipalities, utilities, and water/sewer authorities, while overseeing project staff and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the design and delivery of
municipal water and wastewater projects . Oversee project planning, permitting, design, budgeting, and scheduling. Supervise and mentor project staff; evaluate performance and provide professional development support. Manage multiple large and complex projects simultaneously. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful outcomes. Utilize
Civil 3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, and Microsoft Office
for project planning and design. Preferred: Experience with
InfoWorks WS and/or InfoWater modeling software . Track project performance using
Vision or Microsoft Project . Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and municipal requirements. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Civil or Environmental Engineering
(Master's preferred). Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
required. 15+ years of experience
in municipal water/wastewater project design and management. Strong knowledge of
water and wastewater infrastructure systems
and process design. Project experience in the southeastern U.S. (Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina preferred). Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Compensation & Benefits
