Position Summary The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for building and maintaining long-term relationships with key customers in the Industrial Lifting Segment. This role combines technical expertise with strong account management skills to drive profitable growth, ensure customer satisfaction, and expand pewag's market presence in North America. Key Responsibilities Account & Relationship Management Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned industrial lifting accounts. Conduct regular business reviews to align goals, strategies, and performance. Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and deeper account penetration. Manage and grow high-value, multi-location accounts by meeting or exceeding annual sales and profitability targets. Sales & Business Development Develop and execute effective sales strategies to move prospects through the sales cycle. Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to secure profitable deals. Monitor competitor activity and industry developments to protect and expand market share. Product Knowledge and Presentation Maintain in-depth knowledge of industrial lifting equipment and applications. Present and demonstrate product features, benefits, and value propositions to customers. Work with technical experts to design customized solutions that meet unique customer requirements. Customer Education & Support Provide ongoing education on the benefits of pewag's industrial lifting products. Address inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction. Internal Collaboration Partner with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to enhance customer experience. Provide field feedback to support product development and positioning. Share opportunities across other pewag business segments. Services & Aftermarket Promote and sell services such as on-site inspection, repair, and support. Encourage customers to maintain spare parts inventory through cost-benefit analysis. Reporting & Compliance Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing structures, and contractual agreements. Generate regular reports on sales activity, market trends, and customer feedback. Manage expenses responsibly within budget and in line with company policy. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of B2B sales/account management experience, ideally in industrial lifting or a related industry. Proven track record managing key accounts and achieving revenue targets. Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate equipment applications. Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and MS Office. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently. Travel Requirements Up to 50–70% travel across North America, including client sites, trade shows, and industry events. Select travel methods that balance efficiency, cost, and sustainability. Reporting and Expectations The Key Account Manager reports directly to the Director of Industrial Lifting and is expected to devote full professional effort to the success of pewag Inc.
