Job Summary The Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), investigating customer quality issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong technical expertise in quality standards, data analysis, and manufacturing principles. The engineer will perform internal audits, support material review processes, and apply statistical tools to ensure product and process quality. Key Responsibilities • Apply knowledge of ISO 9001 (current revision) to aid in maintaining the QMS. • Investigate customer quality inquiries and perform root-cause analysis using CAPA and 8D methodologies. • Drive continuous improvement activities using Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S, and Kaizen. • Manage and perform internal QMS audits. • Serve as the Material Review Board Quality Representative. • Perform data collection and analysis including SPC and DOE. • Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gauge R&R studies. Required Qualifications • B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline. • Preferably 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering. • Technical QMS knowledge; Certified Quality Engineer or other ASQ Quality Certification preferred. • Automotive QMS experience preferred (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans). • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP software. • Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact across departments. • Strong team player.
