We are seeking an experienced and visionary engineering head to lead our Order Management Systems. The ideal candidate will drive technological innovation, oversee system architecture, and develop strategic roadmaps that keep our OMS platform at the cutting edge of financial technology, with comprehensive capabilities spanning position management, order state tracking, rules-based processing, risk attribution, and seamless integration across middle and back-office functions. Responsibilities
Lead the overall technology strategy for our OMS platform, aligning it with business objectives and market trends Direct the architecture, design, and development of high-performance, scalable, and resilient trading systems Architect advanced rules engines that enable complex compliance checks, trading limits, and automated order routing Lead innovation in P&L and risk attribution systems that deliver real-time insights and analytics Create seamless technology bridges between front office trading functions and middle/back office operations Ensure platform compliance with financial regulations (MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, etc.) Manage and develop a team of engineers and technical specialists Work closely with product management to translate market requirements into technical solutions Drive technology innovation, keeping pace with advancements in AI, machine learning, and big data analytics Establish technical standards, best practices, and quality control processes Collaborate with executive leadership on technology budgeting and resource allocation Qualifications
15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience in financial services 5+ years in a senior technology role at a fintech or financial institution Deep understanding of order management systems, trading workflows, and market connectivity Extensive experience with position management systems across multiple asset classes Proven expertise designing and implementing state machine architectures for order tracking Experience with P&L calculation methodologies and risk attribution frameworks Knowledge of middle and back-office processes including reconciliation, settlement, and accounting Strong understanding of multi-currency position keeping and FX risk management Expertise in cloud technologies, distributed systems, and microservices Understanding of regulatory requirements for financial trading systems Strong software engineering background with hands-on experience in relevant technologies Knowledge of modern development practices (CI/CD, DevOps, Agile) Understanding of network architecture and information security principles Leadership Skills
Strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into executable plans Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences Strong team leadership and talent development capabilities Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments and make data-driven decisions Collaborative approach to working with product, sales, and customer success teams Salary range $285,000.00- $300,000.00.
