The role focuses on ensuring quality and timely deliverables for fiber construction projects and involves training and collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Responsibilities

Driving accountability for the capital budgets and schedules associated with construction projects, along with safety and quality of work performed. Identify fiber routes, building entry, and internal routing requirements necessary to complete the project. Manage Plant Protection to safeguard middle mile infrastructure. Delegate permitting to permitting team or third-party engineering vendors. Assess engineering and construction project costing using contractor matrices and issue work to contractors using approved processes. Issue work orders to internal and external resources following established company processes. Update costing in financial systems to reflect current costs and compare against approved budgets. Develop, coordinate and execute project schedules with contractors, property management, customers, vendors, internal stakeholders, municipalities and government agencies. Inspect active construction projects to ensure compliance with company, municipal, and government guidelines for Wave infrastructure installation. Complete post-construction plant walk-out including as-builts to meet company standards and regulatory requirements. Coordinate and participate in internal meetings and conferences to ensure alignment and best-practice implementation. Provide training and support for Fiber Construction Lead IIII. Serve as a market-neutral subject-matter expert on fiber construction solutions and best practices. Identify permitting authorities based on proposed routes and manage permit applications and approvals. Visit permitting authorities to submit applications, obtain permits, and track status. Other duties as assigned. Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess

10+ years of construction management experience. Ability to manage and complete multiple projects with increasing scope and complexity through Fiber Construction Lead I to Manager. Expert understanding of safety practices; competent person training certification preferred. Expert understanding of fiber route planning and engineering for building entry and network expansion. Expert understanding of the permitting process for railroad, DOT, cities, counties and pole owners. Expert understanding of fiber splicing, installation practices and network topology. Expert knowledge of fiber optic principles and GIS. Ability to build and maintain relationships with municipalities, government agencies, property management, vendors, etc. Strong Microsoft Office skills; ability to track and analyze data against project forecasts. Strong written and verbal communication, critical-thinking, attention to detail and time management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without supervision. Ability to provide training for Construction Lead IIII. Willingness to live within 30 miles (or a maximum of 1-hour commute) of the assigned territory, as defined by management. Valid drivers license and auto insurance with satisfactory driving record. High school diploma or equivalent. Qualifications
