Position Overview
Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a distinguished law firm to find an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team in California. This role is essential in supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation and ensuring the seamless management of legal proceedings. Responsibilities
Case Management:
Oversee all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and post-trial activities. Document Drafting & Filing:
Prepare, proofread, and file legal documents such as complaints, answers, motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests/responses. Discovery Coordination:
Manage discovery processes, including document production, review, and organization. Legal Research:
Conduct research on statutes, case law, and legal precedents to support case strategies. Trial Support:
Assist in trial preparation by organizing exhibits, preparing witness binders, and attending trials to support attorneys. Client Interaction:
Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and coordinate meetings. File Management:
Maintain and organize both electronic and physical case files, ensuring compliance with firm protocols. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate. 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in a law firm setting. Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis), Microsoft Office Suite, and case management software. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of California state and federal court rules and procedures. Required Work Hours
The position requires standard work hours, typically from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Benefits
The position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $35 to $40, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional Details
