About Actively

Actively is building superintelligence for GTM teams.

We train custom reasoning agents to think like a company's best sales reps, and then use them to evaluate millions of datapoints about every single prospect account in the company's TAM to identify and execute the optimal actions each day to maximize revenue.

Our customers include some of the fastest-growing companies out there - Ramp, Verkada, Justworks, Ironclad, etc. - for whom we've driven hundreds of millions of dollars in added revenue in the past year.

We've raised over $22.5M in funding, including a recent Series A led by Bain Capital Ventures.

The base salary range for this full-time position based in New York is: $215,000 - $280,000. About the Role

We're looking for a Staff Engineer to act as the technical lead for our Product Experience team - the pod that builds the core customer-facing surfaces through which GTM teams consume Actively's intelligence.

Historically, Actively has been "headless," pushing agent outputs into systems like Salesforce and Outreach. Increasingly, we're building our own product experiences: interfaces where users can configure, debug, and collaborate with our multi-agent system directly. This is where you come in.

As the Staff Engineer, you'll define the technical direction, architecture, and engineering bar for how users experience our agents - from building configuration dashboards and feedback loops, to crafting intuitive surfaces that help revenue teams understand, trust, and collaborate with Actively's intelligence. You'll partner closely with founders, designers, and FDEs to deliver high-quality, production-grade product experiences that make Actively's superintelligence accessible and powerful at scale.

This is a high-leverage, n-of-1 role: you'll set the tone for engineering in this pod, mentor new teammates, and directly shape how humans collaborate with agentic systems.

What You'll Do Lead technical direction for the Product Experience pod, owning architecture and design decisions for customer-facing applications. Design & ship core product experiences: configuration dashboards, explainability surfaces, ROI reporting, and feedback workflows that let users guide and shape agents. Make complex intelligence simple: create interfaces that give clarity and control to RevOps teams, helping them adopt and trust multi-agent workflows. Scale onboarding & self-serve: make it dead-simple for Customer Success to spin up new customers through automated provisioning, routing rules, and environment setup. Level up the team: mentor engineers, establish best practices, and help grow the full-stack/product engineering team. Who You Are Seasoned Tech Lead: 7+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in a Staff or equivalent lead role owning architecture and execution. Full-Stack Proficiency: Comfortable across React/TypeScript frontends and backend systems (APIs, data, infra). Product Experience Focused: A background building high-quality interfaces at consumer or B2B2C product companies-think Stripe, Notion, Airtable, Figma, or Plaid. User-Obsessed & Execution-Oriented: You delight in solving messy user problems with tight feedback loops. You excel at taking ownership of ambiguous problems and driving them to clarity and impact. AI-Curious: Fascinated by human-agent collaboration, and eager to build interfaces that bring that vision into reality. Bonus Points Experience designing explainability/trust UI for AI or LLM-powered systems. Familiarity with GTM tools and workflows (Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, etc.). Early-stage startup or founding experience. Demonstrated track record of mentoring and elevating product-focused engineering teams.
