Essential functions include shipping and receiving operations, materials planning, and demand planning & SIOP. Shipping and Receiving Operations Lead and manage the shipping, receiving, and inventory team. Ensure safety protocols and established procedures are followed. Coordinate outbound shipments and prepare shipping documentation. Supervise the intake and proper storage of incoming shipments. Implement quality control measures and resolve issues with damaged materials. Generate reports on shipping, receiving and inventory performance.
Materials Planning
Provide strategic directions for material planning processes. Manage the Materials Planning team and foster a collaborative culture. Ensure data integrity within the MRP system. Oversee purchase requisitions and work order fulfillment. Monitor project production schedules and resolve due date and shortage issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in materials planning.
Demand Planning & SIOP
Lead the SIOP process to align with company goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand accurately. Conduct SIOP meetings to review forecasts, capacities, and inventory levels. Optimize production schedules and resolve production-related issues. Provide training on MRP system functionalities. Support new product development (NPD) projects as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree preferred. 8+ years of experience in shipping and receiving, materials planning, or inventory management. Supervisory experience in shipping and receiving operations. In-depth knowledge of MRP and ERP systems Costpoint experience a plus.
Preferred Additional Skills
Knowledge of the SIOP process. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong leadership and influence across multiple levels and teams. Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is a plus. Experience with Government Packing requirements (MIL-STD-2073).
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $98,500 MIN - $182,500 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on experience and geographic location.
