Account Manager, Pet Companion Minneapolis, MN or Fargo, ND ADM Specialty Commodities Full-time, exempt position. The Account Manager will be responsible for achieving financial results through the procurement and sales of specified ingredients while identifying and implementing programs to drive margin growth increasing top line sales and grow customer base. This position is part of the Specialty Commodities division with a focus in Animal Nutrition in the Pet Companion category. Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of ingredients to support the ADM Specialty Commodities growth strategy. Sell within a core portfolio of products while also promoting ADM's full pantry of products and services. Expand sales and pipeline with existing customer base through call frequency while leveraging the breadth of portfolio. Develop new customer base with strategic focus on the Pet Companion market segment. Communicate effectively in building, and maintaining relationships with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders within the industry. Focus on margin enhancement and value add approach to ingredients and business development while maintaining ADM requirements on quality and safety. Collaborating cross-functionally with ADM Animal Nutrition to drive growth and strengthen customer relationships. Drive excellence in quality and customer service as key competitive differentiators. Understand grower economics, processing capabilities and logistical infrastructure to develop a cost effective supply chain strategy. Job Specifications
3+years of experience in procurement and/or ingredient sales in a full time, professional setting. Extensive experience in all aspects of Customer and Supplier Relationship Management including the ability to present information effectively internally and externally. Demonstrated understanding of the grain markets, hedging, commodity flows and logistics. Continuous Improvement Mindset. Exceptional verbal and written communications skills. Highly skilled in problem solving techniques. Approach role/responsibilities with an owner's mentality. Strong work ethic, positive attitude and professional demeanor required. Proficient in CRM platform (Salesforce preferred) and other programs such as Power BI, Power Point, Word, Outlook and Excel. The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus.
