Sr. Associate Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Centralia, MO, US Primary Purpose: To support the manufacturing operations, including determining the most cost-effective method of manufacturing components with existing equipment/facilities as well as proposing new methods/equipment. A Day In The Life Job Responsibilities: Ensure safe operation of all equipment and processes. Trouble-shoot and resolve manufacturing process issues. Prepare justification documentation for capital expenditures. Lead / Assist in tool design and manufacturing process development. Develop and implement cost saving projects. Participate in Lean events that drive productivity and cost improvement. Lead quality improvement activities including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. Work closely with product engineering in product changes/new product introductions. Investigate and implement safety and ergonomic changes in the manufacturing setting. Provide technical support/training to direct labor employees. What will help you thrive in this role? Position Requirements: Ability to travel on business related trips as needed. Good communication skills, both written and oral. Computing literacy with MS Office applications. SAP experience is a plus. CAD - Inventor preferred. Experience in tool design, tool build and modeling. Education and Skills Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering. Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment minimum. Previous CNC/Plasma experience is a strong plus.
