LHH is recruiting a Temp-to-Hire Legal Assistant for a law firm in Hudson, Ohio. The legal assistant will assist attorneys with labor & employment and workers' compensation matters. Responsibilities: Managing and coordinating attorney schedules and court deadlines. Electronically filing pleadings and motions in state and federal courts. Transcribing dictation of correspondence, memoranda, legal pleadings, and other documents. Coordinating logistics for conferences and depositions, including attorney travel arrangements. Opening and closing case files, including managing client intake information. Entering attorney billable time through automated systems and ensuring accuracy. Preparing monthly client invoices. Maintaining paper and electronic litigation files per team procedures.
