Systems Test Engineer Job Description:
We are seeking
Systems Test Engineers
to provide comprehensive test coverage and evaluation for our software and hardware systems. This role involves both
on-machine/in-cab software testing (60%)
and
lab-based electrical testing (40%) . The primary responsibilities include identifying software bugs during diagnostics, writing tickets for new issues, and conducting various electrical tests such as parasitic drain testing, amperage load testing, and building/wiring test fixtures.
Responsibilities: Conduct
on-machine/in-cab software testing
to identify and diagnose bugs. Write
detailed tickets
for identified bugs and document findings accurately. Perform
electrical-based testing
in the lab, including: Parasitic drain testing Amperage load testing Building/wiring test fixtures
Execute
Design Validation Plan (DVP) activities
as specified by project leads, including: Fabricating, setting up, and disassembling test equipment. Collecting and analyzing test data, compiling technical reports with fact-based conclusions and recommendations.
Diagnose and repair
electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components
on agricultural machinery or test systems. Assist test engineers with
routine engineering tests
in lab and field, utilizing test equipment. Assemble and install
updated parts
for agricultural vehicle test equipment. Prepare
agricultural product models or systems
for performance, quality, and reliability testing. Operate and drive
agricultural vehicles or test equipment as needed for testing purposes. Perform additional related duties as required. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
or related field. Strong experience in
software and hardware testing
within a lab and field environment. Proven ability to
identify software bugs
and write comprehensive tickets. Hands-on experience with
electrical-based testing
and test tools. Experience with
CANalyzer, CAN bus systems, or Vector test tools
is a significant plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
