Our Restaurant Runners assist the Restaurant Servers in providing excellent and timely service to our guests. They do this while adhering to the Hotel's high quality standards at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Organizes and handles outgoing trays. Reviews tickets and separates and organizes dishes for servers. Assists in garnishing plates for servers. Displays knowledge of how all food items are prepared. Visually inspects plates to ascertain all items are correctly placed. May assist the Server in dishing salads, soups, breads, coffee, desserts according to specifications. Carries dishes from the kitchen to the dining room. Delivers food items to the appropriate table. Follows all safety, hygiene and cleanliness protocols at all times. Greets all guests in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. Provides the correct condiments for the food items served. Assists food servers in servicing the guests. Follows up on all service details for the Server. Completes all opening and closing side work. Keeps work area clean and organized. All other duties assigned by the Supervisor. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the Hotel from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Hotel.
Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with the Hotel rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the facility

Able to work in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Meets legal age requirements for the position.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Prior Hospitality experience is preferred

PAY SCALE
The pay scale for this position is $18.50 per hour, plus gratuities and fees, with the position being eligible for a possible increase after six months.
