Job Description:

At Regions, the Software Quality Assurance (QA) Lead supports the application development organization by providing support for preparation of the test strategy, testing approach and resource needs. The Software QA Lead supports functional and non-functional testing coordination and tracking including for the project or application under test. This role may serve as a lead for various team sizes and various applications throughout Regions, contributing to technical skill and knowledge development.

Primary Responsibilities

Leads Regions projects from a QA standpoint working closely with the project manager, Application Development team(s), Business Units, Compliance, Risk and Audit

Coordinates testing activities, along with resource and funding requirements

Designs the test strategy and test planning for the project or application

Coordinates test planning, creation, and execution

Provides test management guidance

Selects test management tools and coordinates tool onboarding, training, and optimal utilization

Partners with Test Automation team and provides updates about the project

Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics for the project

Creates and publishes quality assurance reports for the project

Captures project quality assurance health score

Defines and manages defect workflow

Influences teams to implement quality assurance best practices

Adheres to software testing standard

Assists in onboarding quality assurance talent for projects (onsite/offshore)

Reviews and manages vendor contracts and provides input

Assists in the onboarding of external resources

Prepares a transition plan for automation efforts for on-going support

Assists in a preparing roadmap for projects after closure

Remains abreast of testing trends

Serves as a subject matter expert

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field and six (6) years of quality or related experience

Or High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of quality or related experience

Preferences

Project management experience

Familiarity with Regions' testing standards

Working knowledge of software implementation methodologies

Working knowledge of test automation

Working knowledge of test case design and strategy

Working knowledge of test management tools such as Azure DevOps, qTest, Jira, or Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)

Working knowledge of Tosca, Selenium

Skills and Competencies

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Median:

$112,750.00 USD
