Warranty Coordinator Job Summary:
This position oversees warranty claim coordination between key project teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies related to ship new builds and dry docks.
The Marine Warranty Engineer will ensure that all marine operations, equipment, and projects comply with established warranty terms, safety standards, and quality regulations.
Key Responsibilities Administration and execution of warranty processes as specified in contractual agreements including but not limited to:
Shipbuilders
Dry dock Facilities
OEM subcontractors
Marine Systems and Vessels
Point of contact for key stakeholders regarding warranty related queries and issues
Support project teams with implementation of warranty terms and conditions during design, construction, and operations
Compliance with warranty terms and conditions throughout the lifecycle of the project
Provide systems and warranty process training to key shore side stakeholders and shipboard personnel
Collaboration with authorized shipboard engineers to gather necessary information for claim processing
Technical assessments and inspections of marine systems and equipment to determine validity of the warranty claim
Review, assess, and submit warranty claims, as specified in agreed warranty guidelines
Coordinate equipment requiring manufacturer or 3rd party support
Support DCL Project teams in resolving complex warranty issues
Reporting and Documentation Maintain accurate and detailed records of all warranty claims and related documentation
All warranty claim details are to be entered and tracked in DCLs Marine and Technical system of record
Investigate overdue, unsettled and short-paid claims
Compliance and Risk Management Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal policies
Identify potential risks or issues requiring immediate action to ensure compliance
