Human Resources Generalist

Assists, coordinates, and administers various aspects of the organization's compensation and benefit, recruitment, training, organizational development, and employee relations programs.

Essential Functions

  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all employees; assists in developing and implementing policies; maintains employee handbook and policies manual.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Plans, organizes, and controls departmental activities; participates in setting goals and objectives.
  • Administers compensation and performance evaluation programs; provides guidance on performance management.
  • Handles benefits administration, including claims resolution and communication of benefit information to employees.
  • Implements and revises job descriptions, conducts salary surveys, and develops merit pools.
  • Ensures legal compliance and partners with legal department as needed.
  • Conducts recruitment for various employee types and new-employee orientations.
  • Provides employee relations counseling and exit interviews.
  • Evaluates departmental reports and recommends improvements.
  • Provides training on department systems and procedures.
  • Supervises receptionist and oversees front desk coverage.
  • Coordinates staff events within budget.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience in a similar manufacturing environment
  • 2 years experience in the role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years experience in a similar environment
  • 4 years experience in the role
  • 2 years managing people/projects

*Experience may include a combination of work experience and education.

Education

  • Minimum and preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field

Certification/License

  • Preferred: PHR/SPHR

Foreign Language

  • Preferred: Bilingual proficiency
