About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Research Systems to join their Application & Data Solutions (ADS) team within the Technology & Information Security organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the technology vision, strategy, and roadmap for research and portfolio monitoring platforms. This role requires a dynamic leader with a minimum of 10 years' investment technology experience, including a solid understanding of alternative investments and the institutional investment lifecycle. The VP will be a key business partner, driving technology innovations, and leading a team to deliver change improvement projects. They must be adept at managing both product managers/business analysts and developers, and have a proven track record in leading the implementation of investment applications.
Candidates for the Vice President of Research Systems position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or finance, with a Master's degree preferred. The role demands a leader with a deep understanding of investment management business, including investment research and portfolio company financials. Experience with on-prem and cloud distributed applications, as well as a strong background in technology strategy and roadmap definition, is essential. The ideal candidate will be a proven people leader, capable of building and developing high-performing teams, and have experience with vendor selection and management. Familiarity with programming languages, databases, and BI solutions is also preferred.
