About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Finance to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the initial training, on-going development, and evaluation of the work skills of the finance department staff, including accounts payable, staff accountants, and accounting clerks. This role involves ensuring the timely and accurate flow of financial paperwork, maintaining the Chart of Accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements, annual audits, and tax returns. The VP of Finance will also be involved in developing and updating operating procedures, coordinating funding applications, preparing budgets, and providing financial analyses to the President and the administrative team.
Applicants for the VP of Finance position at the company should have a CPA and a college degree with a major in accounting or finance, or a minimum of 5 years' of supervisory experience. A background in the health care industry is preferred. The role requires computer literacy, experience with accounting systems, and excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills. The VP of Finance will also be expected to have a current driver's license and car insurance, and to meet the health policies and requirements of the organization.
