About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. The CFO will be the financial steward, guiding the fiscal strategy, sustainability, and infrastructure to support the organization's mission. This role is pivotal in overseeing all financial, audit, compliance, and risk management functions, with a particular focus on managing cost-reimbursement government contracts, real estate operations, and complex cash flow cycles. The CFO will also be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, and analysis, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and maintaining financial systems and internal controls to support compliance with government contract requirements.
Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, with 7-10 years of senior-level financial leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit or government-funded environment. The role requires a strategic and tactical financial leader with a strong background in diverse funding streams, including large government contracts. Experience in real estate ownership, property management, or housing development is preferred. The CFO will be expected to have strong analytical skills, the ability to work with Boards of Directors, and a proven track record in managing multiple priorities and communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders.
