About the Role
The Company is in search of a Global Head of Investment Research and Risk Technology, MD to lead the strategic vision and execution of the technology that underpins its investment models, research, performance, and risk analytics. This senior leadership role is pivotal in defining and leading the global technology strategy for investment research and risk platforms, ensuring alignment with the company's investment philosophy and product mix. The successful candidate will be a key strategic partner to various teams, including investment research, risk oversight, and portfolio managers, and will be responsible for the delivery, resilience, and scalability of research and risk tooling. A deep understanding of investment research workflows, risk analytics, and emerging technologies such as AI/ML, digital, advanced analytics, and cloud-native capabilities is essential.
Applicants for this role at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' experience in leading investment research and risk technology platforms within institutional asset management. The role requires a proven track record in managing global teams and a strong knowledge of the vendor landscape, particularly in relation to financial data and analytics. Advanced understanding of data science, AI/ML, and cloud architecture is necessary, as is the ability to translate business needs into scalable, user-centric technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for an advanced degree, and experience in multi-asset class investment management. Global, multi-jurisdictional experience in a regulated financial environment is also preferred.
