Job Description

Overview: Our client is seeking a Senior Java Developer with extensive Spring and Hibernate experience to join a rapidly growing Agile Development Program! This is an opportunity to apply your Java skills to a cutting-edge implementation that is transforming government service delivery.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience: 8-10 years in Java/JEE (1.5/1.6), Web Services, AXIS, XML, XSD, SOAP, REST, Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, Shell Scripting.
  • Experience analyzing, designing, and implementing integration solutions using J2EE or related technologies.
  • Designing and developing using Java/JEE, Spring, Hibernate, and Web Services (REST).
  • Developing message-oriented integration solutions with Java/JEE.
  • Experience with Maven and/or Ant build tools.
  • Proficient in writing JUnit tests.
  • Experience with Scrum, Continuous Integration, Automated Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Configuring and troubleshooting applications in Oracle WebLogic and JBoss Application Servers.
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop application code using Java/JEE, XML, SOAP, REST, Spring Framework, and Hibernate Framework.
  • Develop JUnit test code and set up build tools like Ant and Maven for deployment.
  • Configure application resources in WebLogic, such as Data Sources and Messaging resources.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to Java, Spring, Hibernate, and application servers.
  • Participate actively in Scrum/Agile teams, attend stand-ups, and estimate story complexity.
  • Enforce code quality through test-driven development.
  • Seek continuous improvement in team processes and contribute to cross-functional teamwork within the Agile project lifecycle.
